About Deanna Read, CPNP-PC

Book Appointment

Deanna is a fun and passionate Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner born and raised here in Portland, Oregon. Deanna received her bachelor’s degree in physiology from the University of Washington then spent some time living and working down in sunny California before moving back to Portland and earning her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner degree from Oregon Health and Science University. Deanna loves primary care as it really allows for her to build strong relationships with her patients and their families and she gets to be a part of their lives while they grow up.

While earning her master’s degree, Deanna worked as a registered nurse for medically fragile children, providing care for them in their homes so they could enjoy their time being kids. Through this experience, Deanna really learned the importance of looking at the whole picture for patients and their families and is passionate about advocating for patients to ensure their needs are met.

When not working, Deanna loves spending time with her husband, daughter, and three chihuahuas. She is often traveling, planning their next trip, finding new ice cream shops to try, or out on a boat photographing whales.
