Dr. David Christensen is a board certified orthopedic surgeon practicing at Intermountain Spine and Orthopaedics. He earned his medical doctorate at the University of Washington in Seattle after completing his undergraduate studies at Ricks College in Rexburg, ID, and Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. Dr. Christensen served his internships in general surgery and then completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Cleveland before completing a spine surgery fellowship in Orthopedic and Neurosurgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Christensen is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Idaho Medical Association, the North American Spine Society, and more.

Explains things very well and has a good bedside manner
Dr. Christianson was very thorough and he made me feel very comfortable. I would most certainly recommend him. My nephew just had his back surgery with Dr Christianson and he's doing great. I was very impressed!
Best doctor
I absolutely love Dr. Christensen I first met him when he seen my husband for a carpal tunnel surgery, which he took amazing care of my husband and I loved his professionalism as well as his bedside manners and care. I am now preparing for not only a carpal tunnel surgery but also surgery on my ulnar nerve and I honestly couldn't be happier that he is doing my surgeries.

Tentative, knowledgeable, kind hearted, easy to understand, compassionate, thoughtful, and courteous.
Had bicep repair in November 2023. Before the surgery I was in pain constantly and had limited range of motion . After surgery it was very important for me to not use the arm. Dr Christensen personally check up with me and check my healing and gave me guidance on what to do and not to do to make sure I healed correctly. Very personable beside manner and excellent surgery. I am kind of a walking disaster. I have need surgery three times on knees and shoulder and Dr Christensen has done an excellent job each time.
Dr. Christensen treated me for my hyperextended right arm back before we had cell phones after family fun night with my now adult kids at Skate Land. Prognosis was 5% range of motion after being in a half soft cast for what seemed like forever! When the cast came off, I had a little arm that couldn't move and he cheated me on and each check up I was able to move it a little bit more and now have 95% range of motion. When it was time for a referral for my back injury I asked to for him by name! He is so kind, patient and knowledgeable and explained all of the issues that I have and went through frame by frame images of MRI and CT so I could understand what was going on in "Lisa" language. I was thrilled to hear he wasn't moving after all and look forward to a healthy new year!
