In 1994, Dr. Chandrasekhara earned her Bachelor of Science, double majoring in Chemistry and Biology at Houston Baptist University. She then went on to receive her Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 1998. Next, Dr. Chandrasekhara completed her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Allegheny
University Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Then, she returned back home to Houston to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology from 2000-2003 at the University of Texas in Houston.
Dr. Chandrasekhara is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Texas Medical Association, and the Dallas County Medical Society. She is also a member of the Texas Indian Physicians as well as the Association of American Physicians of Indian Origin. She has performed many presentations around the country, with several publications throughout her career. Dr. Chandrasekhara loves to travel, swim, and cook in her free time, as well as photographing her children.

High wait time. Made me wait for at least 45mins-2 hrs every time . What is the use of taking appointment for such high wait times. Staff don’t even convey how long it would take for doctor to attend. Made me sit in the closed room for such long time. And then doctor comes and rushes in 2-3 minutes

She is the best doctor with lot of patience. Keep ready with your questions so you don’t waste either times as gynecologist are very busy and we need to respect their time. Overall I highly recommend for her immense knowledge and patience in answering all questions.

Throughout the prenatal care appointments, Dr. Chandrasekhara exhibited a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. She monitored my health closely, ensuring that both she and our baby were progressing as expected. Her proactive approach to managing any potential issues instilled confidence in us, knowing that we were in capable hands. Dr. Chandrasekhara continued to provide unwavering support. As per my personal experience, Treatment at Dr.Darshana Chandrasekhara is more worthy a 5 star rating definitely. In our case she made the normal delivery for 8 lbs baby. Dr Darshana is so polite, very responsive and courteous towards her patients. She will also patiently answer all the questions of her patients. I will definitely recommend Dr Darshana for the pregnant women.

Dr Chandrasekhara was everything a doctor should be. Was very informative where I could understand and gave me suggestions on what to do to help me. Took her time and did not make me feel like I was just taking up her tine.
Very caring at a very private conversation, the staff is very caring and patient. Doctor is so thorough with questioning and makes it comfortable.
