Dr. Skinner and his entire staff are excellent medical professionals and also very caring and friendly, at the same time. My sister, who has some special needs, has had 3 surgeries with Dr. Skinner, who has treated her gently, paShow moretiently, and compassionately. He personally telephones post-surgery to check up on how she is doing and takes whatever time is necessary to answer any questions you may have. This kind of superb medical care is a rarity these days. I freely and happily recommend Dr. Skinner's office to anyone with skin care needs.
I am only here in the winter and found this office due to my insurance. I was not disappointed! Everything went well, from making the appointment to the follow up. Everyone was very nice. Dr Skinner explained the procedure to mShow moree and made sure I understood and asked if I had any questions. I am a dentist, so I was keen on how the staff interacted with me. They were all very professional. I have no complaints.
Daniel Skinner, MD, is board-certified in dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery. He provides expert care at Skin Cancer Specialists, located in Mesa, Arizona.
Dr. Skinner is a 5th-generation Arizonan who grew up in Mesa and graduated from Mountain View High School. He went on to attend Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where he graduated with a degree in business management. He then attended the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, where he developed an interest in dermatologic surgery.
During medical school, he was a leader and volunteer in many different medical school organizations. He completed a one-year internship in internal medicine at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, and a three-year dermatology residency at the University of Missouri in Columbia, where he served as chief resident in his final year. He has presented research at many local and national meetings and has published research on the use of Mohs surgery for rare skin cancer, as well as a book chapter on dermabrasion.
Dr. Skinner concluded his training with an intensive one-year fellowship in Mohs micrographic and dermatologic surgery in Birmingham, Alabama, with Dr. Christopher Harmon, one of the nation's leading Mohs surgeons. Dr. Skinner has performed over 10,000 skin cancer surgeries. In addition to training in Mohs surgery and skin cancer removal, he has expertise in facial reconstruction after skin cancer removal.
Dr. Skinner is currently the president of the Phoenix Dermatology Society and on the board of directors of the Arizona Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery Society. In addition, he is very active in volunteer work for his church and enjoys spending time playing and watching sports.
When he is not at work, Dr. Skinner enjoys spending time with his wife, Marie, and their six children.

Dr Skinner is professional and courteous. Does a great job removing and stitching the cancer spot that I had. No scars at all.
