I’d give Dr Nemeth and Dr Winter a ZILLION STARS if i could!!!… Ive had SIX SPINE SURGERIES!!.. starting YEARS AGO with my neck… Dr Artur Pacult, who did the 2nd and 3rd cervical surgeries saved my life ( the 1st was done in an emShow moreergency situation after a tennis match … which we won in the 3rd set after my partner.. and close friend.. yelled at me for not doing my best)… BOY DID SHE FEEL TERRIBLE WHEN I ENDED UP IN THE HOSPITAL with a numb thumb.. failed every test … the neurologist even thought the nerve conduction machine was broken ( and he was a GREAT NEUROLOGIST)… it wasn’t broken.. I WAS!! Had emergency surgery that went very well but led to MORE PROBLEMS.. with my larynx… the anesthesiologist nicked my right vocal cord ( he had a difficult job due to location of cervical disc and larynx) I had no voice !! And NO DISABILITY INSURANCE!!!.. I was YOUNG and very active… was out of work for months.. I’m a pharmacist working for Rite Aid at the time…. Had traveled with the executives whenever they bought stores… the vice president called and told my mom ( who I was staying with during my long recovery) to tell me they were gonna continue to pay me until I was able to comeback… AMAZING!! THERE R GOOD PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD!!! GETTING BACK TO SIGNESPINE … Years later I started having problems with my lower back… I was told years ago to be careful… definitely to put down my tennis racket.. because upper discs that have failed will put more pressure on lower ones.. my cervical discs had been replaced.. I had 2 more lumbar surgeries… loved my neurosurgeon… who was the choice of other specialists… first surgery went very well… after the 2nd one I had problems walking very far… within the first year post op.. Went back but never saw my neurosurgeon again ( understandable.. I was in no danger) Saw his PA who I saw 3 more times ..he ordered an MRI… saw nothing wrong.. just had to be patient with post op recovery… THANKFULLY my internist who was also a personal friend KNEW SOMETHING WAS VERY WRONG… and sent me to Dr Nemeth, who SHE SAID… would figure it out!!! HE DID!!!!… on my VERY FIRST VISIT with him and Dr Winter… took my latest MRI.. Dr Winter took me on a THOROUGH TOUR of my spine!!… something no one else had ever done… Then asked if I would have them do a moving xray before I left to rule out any other problems.. said he’d call me the next morning… Within 30 minutes of leaving he called… they SAW THE PROBLEM!!! I’d had a rod put in on 2nd surgery.. a screw had come loose and whenever I walked very far it would hit nerves!!! I NEEDED IMMEDIATE SURGERY!!!… I had to decide WHO TO CALL for moving forward.. Thankfully my last neurosurgeon had called me after my 3rd visit to his PA… and said I needed steroid injections to help with pain… I asked him THEN if he minded me getting a 2nd opinion… His response… “ Of course not!!!… he understood.. asked if he could suggest another excellent neurosurgeon who’s office was very close to where I lived”…. Dr Anderson with South Eastern Spine… then he said… “ I’d trust anything he has to say… Sooo Dr NEMETH contacted Dr Anderson… and I had to make no arrangements… Signespine sent their findings to him and Dr Anderson apparently contacted my previous neurosurgeon who immediately contacted me… Couldn’t have been nicer and told me I needed immediate surgery.. and he would support me no matter who I chose!!! AS SOON AS I HUNG UP Dr Anderson called and explained everything in detail… he definitely had to remove the rod and replace it with a longer rod to give me more stability with screws that would NOT come loose!!! Actually BOTH SCREWS had come loose!!! Kept me for 10 days after his surgery… He was wonderful!!! But within a year or 2 I had terrible pain at night ONLY when lying down.. I had learned and trained myself to sleep on my back… it was AWFUL!!! And i wasn’t getting enough sleep.. pain was coming from both my lower legs only up to my knees…my feet would curl up.. got so bad if I’d had a gun I would have used it.. ( I’d NEVER DO THAT) My new internist ( Susan had retired) examined me and said I think your pain at night could be neuropathy and sent me back to Dr Anderson who ordered 2 tests on both lower legs for nerve conduction and also muscle conduction.. Results showed nerves in both lower legs were disintegrating and controlled muscles in lower legs and were receiving the wrong signals going to my brain… I was a definite candidate for a spinal cord stimulator..implanted in my spine… Nothing else would help… Lots to think about!!! VERY UPSETTING TO ME!! Who do I call???? The 2 men who I KNEW would look further and figure it out!!! Signe Spine!!! If they agreed on the implant I KNEW IT WOULD BE THE RIGHT CHOICE!!! Took my latest MRI … Dr Winter talked with me before i gave him my MRI.. He left the room… THIS TIME IT TOOK MAYBE 10 MINUTES TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG!! He came and got me then SHOWED ME THE PROBLEM!!! It was my lower discs S1 and S2 !!! Pushing on nerves leading to my muscles in both lower legs!!!! I had never been shown that MRI…. And it was clear to see !!! He and Dr Nemeth decided I needed a series of injections starting with S1.. Get the worst nerves causing my pain … the right side of S1 first!!! Went every 2wks.. and the week in between for follow up… I’ve been twice so far for injections both on right side of S1… when he fixes that he’ll do left side of S1 Then move up to S2.. Those nerves have been continuously irritated for a LOOONG TIME!!! Dr Anderson I don’t think believed me … VERY UNUSUAL FOR HIM !!! I can only believe something else is bothering him… because he did an excellent job doing and fixing me with his surgery.. ALSO HAD AN EXCELLENT PA… I never saw her for this problem… Dr Anderson was going to send me back to my internist… I had to yell out… “ THAT IS VERY UNFAIR.. WHAT CAN SHE DO??? She TOLD ME WHAT SHE OBSERVED… NERVES AND MUSCLES… but NOT HER AREA OF EXPERTISE… She’s DONE HER DO… and told me to make appointment with YOU!!! I’m NOT WASTING HER TIME.. she has ENOUGH TO DO!!!” I AM IN SEVERE PAIN AT NIGHT!!! Losing sooo much sleep I can hardly function.. I CAME TO YOU… not EVER QUESTIONING YOUR SURGERY!! I’m ONLY GRATEFUL!!… I NEEEEED HELP !!!! It’s never occurred to me until now that my grandmother died of ALS.. Lou Gerig’s disease!!! I CAME BECAUSE I TRUST YOU!!!” That’s when he ordered those 2 tests… done by a great neurologist who after running both tests and me telling him about my experience with Dr Anderson… and just can’t go on like this… I DO KNOW NERVE PAIN AND MUSCLE PAIN… I JUST need RELIEF!!” He said… “ Anne do NOT ever question what your body is telling you””… AND results show you are right on BOTH accounts!!.. Your pain involves both nerves leading to your muscles giving erratic signals to those muscles.. I want you to lay here while I go have a talk with Dr Anderson… i assure you he’s gonna wanna talk with you after i return “… He did meet with me.. THATS WHEN HIS SUGGESTION OF AN IMPLANT WAS MY ONLY ALTERNATIVE LOOONG STORY SHORT: After my second in a series of injections ONY on the right S1 disc… I AM A NEW PERSON!! I KNOW ILL PROBABLY HAVE SETBACKS… ABSOLUTELY NO PAIN LAST NIGHT ( I slept til 12:30pm) And after getting up … I NEVER EVER KNEW I COULD FEEL THIS GOOD!!! I am 72… I certainly waited too long for help… and did need to go to Dr Anderson for help… and got MRI… I CANNOT EVER EXPRESS MY GRATITUDE TO DR NEMETH AND HIS PRACTICE FOR GIVING ME THE RELIEF I NEVER THOUGHT POSSIBLE!!! To think his office is walking distance from my business.. I AM GOING TO ENJOY EVERY MINUTE OF THE RELIEF FROM PAIN!!! No matter how long it lasts!!”
I will be highly recommending Dr. Nemeth! As a first time patient he did not rush our office time. He asked me important questions about my many symptoms from my injury that not all were persisting but were relevant to his diagnosShow morees of the concussion & nonstop headaches. He was helpful in ordering an MRI. He was helpful in being knowledgeable of homeopathic headache relief that I asked for. Dr. Nemeth made me feel like I was important & resolving my headaches was his priority.

Awesome great experience
Dr Nemeth and Dr Winter both provide excellent care. They take their time and listen and do all they can do to take care of your pain. Not only caring for the spine but hip and knees too.
I had been having back and hip pain for 11 months. On my first visit, Michael Winter, PA, found an issue with my MRI that both a radiologist and neurosurgeon missed. I am so thankful for the Signe Spine staff and Dr. Nemeth for finally providing me with relief.
