About Damaris Reid, ASW

Damaris Reid is a new Social Worker to the One Alkaline Life family, a telehealth practice headquartered in Waldorf, Maryland. She comes from a background in public health that identifies mental health as a public issue. The pandemic, mass shootings, political unrest and other traumas have left a lasting imprint on the entire world community. Challenges with mental health affect every aspect of one’s life including one’s health, relationships, the ability to manage stress and the ability to recover from physical health conditions. Damaris’s therapeutic style is warm, interactive, and tailored to each client's needs. She uses a variety of treatment modalities with her clients including Motivational. Interviewing, CBT, and Strengths Based therapy. More importantly she creates a non-judgmental, and supportive space where clients can feel free to discuss the issues that face them.
