Welcome to New Orleans Orthopedic Institute

The goal of board-certified orthopedic surgeon Brian Kindl, MD, and the team at New Orleans Shoulder Institute, is to provide high-quality orthopedic care to men and women living in and around Metairie, Hammond, and Slidell, Louisiana.

At New Orleans Orthopedic Institute, Dr. Kindl and the team diagnose and treat conditions and injuries affecting all the extremities, including the shoulders, hips, knees, elbows, hands, and ankles. 

Dr. Kindl regularly repairs rotator cuff tears and labral tears. He also offers minimally invasive hand surgery, knee arthroscopy (including Mako total knee replacement), reverse shoulder replacement, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy. These minimally invasive procedures are both safe and effective; they also present fewer side-effects than traditional surgery and quicker recovery times.  

At New Orleans Orthopedic & Shoulder Institute, patients can also access treatment for personal injuries, such as automobile accidents or slip-and-falls. Dr. Kindl and the team also provide workers’ compensation services.
