So happy this practice opened! Last year, Dr. Charla delivered my beautiful baby girl with the help of Dr. Konsker. I had the most amazing experience because of both of these doctors and when I found out, they were no longer at mShow morey previous office, I did not want to have another baby, knowing that I wouldn’t have them there to deliver. My C-Section was quick, easy, and recovery was so painless that I resumed working as a full time hair stylists only 2 1/2 weeks later! Now that they’ve opened this practice I couldn’t be happier and I can’t wait to have another baby and know that my delivery will be just as amazing as the first time around. Thank you!
I met Charla last year when my I found out I was pregnant with my son. She amazing in every way possible. Her bedside manner is impeccable. She always has the time for you with any question you may have. To her you not just a patiShow moreent. She wants to get to know you and build a relationship with you. She will advocate for you if you aren’t able to. I am sad that I don’t get to see very often anymore and can’t wait when the time right to do round two. Charla O’Neil, ARNP, CNM, is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner at Mira Women’s Health & Midwifery in Boca Raton, Florida.
Charla has been a Certified Nurse Midwife for over 29 years and has a wealth of knowledge in caring for women of all ages. She performs hospital births and full-scope obstetrics and gynecology.
Her past experience includes teaching obstetrics in nursing school, building a midwifery service in a hospital setting, being director of midwifery for a hospitalist group, and private practice.
She has an outstanding academic background that includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington and a Master of Science degree (Cum Laude) from the University of Illinois. Her residency was in Midwifery at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Charla is board-certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) and is a certified first assistant in obstetrical and gynecology surgery. She is licensed as an Advanced Registered Practice Nurse in the state of Florida, specializing in midwifery.
Charla’s specialty training includes office colposcopy, minor gynecological procedures, circumcisions, diabetes, ultrasound, 3D ultrasounds, and vaginal birth after a C-section (VBAC).
Charla is married to her wonderful husband George and has raised two successful and beautiful children. She is an active practicing Catholic and sings as a lead in the choir at her church. Charla enjoys working out and pilates training. Her favorite color is twilight blue and she is an avid sports fan.
Charla has always been an advocate for her patients and understands the importance of continuity of care. She believes midwifery care provides excellent education to all patients. She also believes in collaboration of care with physicians and maintains excellent relationships and consultation with both physicians in the practice.

The APRN was very nice. Very happy and smiled a lot. Made me comfortable before my actual appt. The nurse who took my info was super sweet and very thorough. I am a new patient as well, so I’m glad I picked this establishment. Also the front staff was super kind and helpful. Great place for women to keep up with their health.

I’ve been with Charla for 5 years and when I say she is the best gyno I’ve had. It’s hard to find a doctor who genuinely cares, especially as a black woman. She cares and listens and I’ve never felt safer and more heard by a doctor than I do with her.
