Dr. Mayer is thorough and patient. He takes the time to answer all your questions and concerns. I am an adult, however, I would have no qualms about how he’d be with a child. I came from a different practice that had a doctor whShow moreo refused to answer questions that he thought were dumb or unimportant. Dr Mayer is the opposite. He makes sure you’ve asked all the questions you have before your appointment is over. I highly recommend this doctor!

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree at Albion College in Albion, Michigan, Dr. Mayer graduated from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
He continued his training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, where he completed his pediatric residency and was honored to serve as the pediatric chief resident. Dr. Mayer received pediatric and adult allergy/immunology fellowship training at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Before entering private practice, Dr. Mayer was the Associate Pediatric Program Director at Bi-County Community Hospital in Warren, Michigan. He has co-authored numerous articles published in prestigious medical journals, exploring essential topics such as granulomatous disease in infants and the management of food allergies.

Dr.Mayer is such a wonderful and attentive doctor. He has taken care of my daughter’s allergy and asthma needs for years…and now my son’s allergies as well. I have followed him and will continue to stay with him wherever he goes. The best doctor!

Dr. Mayer was very thorough in his explanation of my condition. His explanations were easy to understand.
I have been a patient of Dr. Mayer for at least 15 years from the days when his practice was fairly new. Dr. Mayer has been the ONLY doctor to get to the root of my asthma and allergies. I remember I had Pityriasis Rosea( not very common) and Dr. Mayer was able to diagnose this condition. A highly intelligent and intuitive doctor who will listen to you. Highly recommended!

Dr. Mayer is by far the most knowledgable and educated allergist in SE Michigan. Not only that, but he is very patient and actually takes the time to speak with and educate his patients as opposed to rushing patients out like many other doctors do. He really does care and is very passionate about his work.

I just had my first appointment with Dr.Mayer and it was phenomenal. Dr. Mayer is very knowledgeable, attentive, and he values the importance of finding the root cause.
