Cathy Dahl, DO, is a board certified urogynecologist at Pelvic Health Specialists in Lawrence and Topeka, Kansas.
Dr. Dahl graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. After working in the hospital for a few years, she decided it was time to take the next step in her education and transition into the role of a physician. She graduated from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences (KCUMB) in 2000 and completed her residency at the University of Kansas.
As a board-certified OB/GYN, she spent several years managing obstetrical and gynecological populations. Dr. Dahl quickly developed a great interest in higher-level prolapse, incontinence, and pelvic pain, and thus, decided to focus exclusively on urogynecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery. In 2011 the American Board of Medical Specialties approved Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery as a certified subspecialty. Dr. Dahl was in the first class of physicians awarded this board certification in 2013.
At Pelvic Health Specialists, Dr. Dahl continues to offer minimally invasive surgery as well as nonsurgical gynecology options to the community. She continues to be engaged in her education, striving to be a physician leader in the community, plans to complete a Master of Healthcare Administration from George Washington University in March 2021. In addition, Dr. Dahl is involved with the American Urogynecologic Society as a volunteer facilitating the development of the ACQUIRE registry and is a member of the MDEpiNet committee for the same.
Dr. Dahl remains active in her children’s various activities. In her free time, she loves spending time outdoors.

The office is very well run and I had contact with them several times before my first appt. My scheduled phone call with a staff member a few weeks before my appt was very thorough and I felt she heard and understood everything I was saying. After that call I realized how important all my information was to Dr Dahl and her practice. On the day of my appt I was greeted by a very personal /professional staff who were attentive and caring to my needs and made every effort to make me comfortable. Dr Dahl was everything I had hoped she would be and more. Her confidence and interaction made me feel relaxed and relieved. She is knowledgeable, experienced, kind and spent a great deal of time explaining the surgery and the different options I could decide on. She was patient with me and addressed all my concerns. When I have my surgery , I know I will be in very capable hands. We are Blessed to have Dr Dahl and her practice in Lawrence.
Cathy validated my insecurities and is the first doctor I've ever had who actually provided a game plan for how to address my vaginal disfunction. It can be difficult to get an appointment that's actually with her, but she's worth any wait time.
