Byron Edwards Ph.D., PA-C is a certified Physician Assistant at the Dermatology Center. HIs educational journey began at Brigham Young University where he obtained both a BS degree in psyschology (1981) and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology (1984). His pre-doctoral internship was completed at Yale University. After almost 10 years in a private psychology practice, he returned to school and completed the Physician Assistant Program at the University of Utah School of Medicine (1986). Byron has practiced dermatology for over 25 years.
He is a member of the American Psycological Association, American Acadamy of Physician Assistants, and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Byron is married with five children and has 10 grandchildren. He enjoys practicing medicine, activities with his family, and riding dirt bikes in the desert.

Byron looked at the lesion on top of my head and said we need to numb it, cut it out and send it to the lab for biopsy. He explained what’s next depending on the biopsy. Good job Byron!
Dr. Edward’s best doctor. Only doctor we rely on. Always have great experience when visiting with him. Professional and knowledgeable as well as friendly. Love him and his staff. Kathleen is also great.
This was my first visit with Dr. Edwards, and I just became a regular! He was prompt, and didn't keep me waiting for my appointment. He was friendly but also efficient and effective, which are both important to me. I was impressed and will be back regularly!
