Dr Brian Pontarelli has been our family foot doctor for a number of years. It was because of his knowledge, talent and excellent bedside manner that I have stayed with him as a patient for a number of years. My wife is also a patiShow moreent, as well as my daughter, grandson, and my granddaughter. Excellent with children. I highly recommend Dr Brian pontarelli.
Brian Pontarelli, DPM, is a board certified foot and ankle surgeon at Rhode Island Foot Care’s locations in Cumberland, North Providence, Cumberland & Johnston, Rhode Island as well as Norfolk, Massachusetts.
Dr. Pontarelli received his Bachelor of Science in biology and minor in business administration from Providence College in Rhode Island. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. Afterward, he completed his residency and surgical training at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island.
He performs all aspects of podiatric medicine and surgery and has a passion for sports medicine. Dr. Pontarelli is also an avid diabetic wound care specialist. He is a founding member and staff podiatrist of a local wound care center and has helped heal many difficult wounds utilizing cutting edge technology such as hyperbaric oxygen chambers and synthesized skin derivatives.
Dr. Pontarelli became board certified and a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons in 2002. Over the past nine years, Dr. Pontarelli has brought many innovative ideas to better serve patients, using a “one-stop shopping” mentality, with in-office circulation testing and a full line of foot care and footwear products.
He holds hospital affiliations with Lifespan/The Miriam Hospital, Rhode Island Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Care System, Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, and Roger Williams Medical Center. He also serves on the Education Committee and participates in resident training at Roger Williams Medical Center.

Yes, like with every medical office, I’ve thought, ‘I should’ve brought a lunch’. But understand why I may have waited when they take all the time needed to address my concerns/condition. Dr. Pontarelli Is it great Doctor he listens to my questions he listens to me. He tells me What I need to do his staff is great. The Head medical Secretary Karen is Excellent they’re all nice. I give them five stars all of them.

Dr Pontarelli is the best podiatrist in R.I. His office staff is always very accommodating. I wouldn’t be walking today if I hadn’t seen him 13 years ago.
Everyone that works there is extremely nice and efficient. You get to meet the CEO at every visit and he’s awesome!
The receptionist is very unfriendly and the waiting room is atrocious, chairs all look like they came from some dump.

Very quick to respond especially in an emergency. The receptionists are amazing, especially Karen Q Baptista. She responded to me on her own time, which she did not have to. She is kind and caring along with the other receptionist checking people in. Dr Brian is amazing.

Dr. P and his team have been tremendous. His guidance and recommendations have improved my physical wellbeing, and his knowledge and expertise has provided accurate and reasonable expectations towards my recovery. I highly recommend him.
I love the doctor however waiting over an hour to see him is unreasonable. Luckily I always bring a book to read
