Dr. Blumenauer later completed his general surgery residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in Houston, Texas, one of the busiest trauma centers in the United States. This extensive training led Dr. Blumenauer to complete a robust plastic surgery fellowship at the prestigious Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
