About Bina Patel

Her first job as a medical assistant (MA) was for a dermatology practice in Fountain Valley, California where after 2 years as a MA, she was promoted to the office manager.  Bina joined Coastal Dermatology in 2007 and worked initially as a medical assistant, then became the assistant office manager and office manager soon thereafter.  She has over 25 years of experience in medical assisting and 15 years of hands-on practice management.

Bina was born in Wembley, England and grew up in southern California. She eventually settled with her husband and 3 kids in Jacksonville, Florida and has been with our office for 16 years.

With a continuing passion for the dermatology industry, Bina is always looking for ways to improve procedures, integrate new devices and overall, develop the practice with modern capabilities. Her hard work and dedication has been her forte.  Under her management, she has implemented various procedures and services for Coastal Dermatology.  This has enabled the practice to grow in terms of efficiency and improved patient care.

‍In her spare time, Bina loves to spend time with her 3 children and their spouses.  She also enjoys spending time with her grand dog Korra who you see around the office time to time, and husband, when she is not catching the latest Bollywood movie with her girlfriends.
