Philosophy Regarding Health:
After 35 Years of practice, I have come to understand that as we age, the key to optimal health is in creating balance. We create balance in how we choose to eat, how we move, what we emotionally fill ourselves with and how we generate sleep. Our bodies are unique, as they come with all the necessary internal capabilities to regenerate and self heal. We need to honor our bodies with the choices that we make and how we choose to view ourselves. This concept continues to inspire my practice of medicine. It is no longer all about treating chronic illness, but the promotion of prevention of chronic illness. I find satisfaction with inspiring and partnering with my patients on a path of wellness. We have the technology to to extend life, but not necessarily to improve the QUALITY of that life. That is about the choices that you make along the way.
When it comes to aging, the only choices are to accept deterioration or choose restoration. I have chosen restoration. In addition to lifestyle balance, I promote hormonal balance. Hormones regulate our body heat, and ability to think and feel good; hormones keep our bones strong, our brains sharp and our organs functioning. Hormones are what give us our good health and the symptoms we associate with aging are often simply related to this decline in hormones. I look forward to working with the patient who is highly motivated and and filled with the expectations of achieving optimal wellness.
