Avonny Bennett, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner offering telehealth appointments to patients throughout the state of Florida at Lewis Family Psychiatric in Wellington, Florida. She works with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults to address various social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
Avonny Bennett received her undergraduate degree from Florida State University. She obtained her Masters of science degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore as a certified registered nurse anesthetist and her doctorate in nursing from Barry University. She earned her post-Masters certificate in psychiatric nursing from Herzing University. Avonnny Bennett also serves as a first reader for doctoral students at Barry University.
Avonny has received training in psychiatry, psychotherapy, and pediatric care. She has 23 years of experience in general medical issues through her trauma and medical-surgical history. She has training in treating most brain-based illnesses, including mood disorders, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression and attention disorders. Dr. Bennett has beeb working with me to better myself dealing with emotional distress, anxiety and depression. She has been able to identify problems and issues that I was experiencing and came up with wonderful solutions and strategies to help me cope and deal effectively better to with them!! I wish I did this twenty years ago, my behavior with others especially my family has never been better. My stress, anxiety and depression has gotten manageable over the time. She is truly helped me be a much better version of myself! So grateful for a peaceful mind causing we to have a peaceful life!
Dr B is absolutely fantastic! Very knowledgable in her field. I have GAD and she has been wonderful in guiding me with the right medication to help me live my best life. As a person with anxiety I have doubted everything that professionals have told me yet she has made me trust her and given me the right amount of tough love to get to exactly where I need to be. I highly recommend her to help you on your journey. We need more professionals like her that actually take the time to get to know their patients and are there for them every step of the way. I don’t know where I would be without her.
