Dr. Fain has been my son’s dentist for many years. He is an adult who has a disability & suffers from an autoimmune disease that can affect his brain. Dr. Fain has built a trusting, secure & sincere relationship with him and resShow morepects him for the person he is. He can ask a lot of questions wanting to know everything she is going to do before she does it. She displays much patience with him & explains things to him with ease. He feels safe & secure going to her office alone & looks up to the person & dentist Dr. Fain is. We appreciate her for making my son feel so comfortable in her care. Everyone who works in her office knows him & treats him with kindness. We can not ask for anything more than this.
You are always greeted with a smile and everyone is very knowledgeable. To be honest going to the dentist is something I dread (back in the 1940, 50s, 60) it was not like now. My sons have good teeth and have never minded going, IShow more will say I at 82 Do still have my teeth and if you ask any of the staff especially Dr. Fain I am as stiff as a board in there chairs. I do need to say thank you to Dr.Fain and all the staff for taking care of Me!!!
Assia Fain, DMD, PhD, is an experienced family dentist at Lakeside Family Dental, providing complete oral health care to people of all ages living in and around Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.
Dr. Fain began her career in Moscow, Russia. There, she earned her first dental degree and completed a residency and post-doctoral thesis in orthodontics. Dr. Fain also served as head of the orthodontic department at the Moscow Center of Pediatric Dentistry, where she specialized in the treatment of cleft lip and palate.
In 1977, Dr. Fain moved to the United States. She worked as a dental hygienist for several years, before completing her board certification tests. After earning a second dental degree from the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University, Dr. Fain opened her private practice –– the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.
Each year, Dr. Fain attends more than 100 hours of advanced training classes and lectures. Her knowledge and expertise ensure individuals and families receive the highest quality care and the most advanced treatment possible.
Dr. Fain proudly holds membership in several professional organizations, including the International Team for Implantology, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Cleft Lip and Palate Association, and the Massachusetts Dental Society.
Outside of work, Dr. Fain enjoys spending time with her husband, Vitaly Fain, PhD, a professor and renowned specialist in artificial intelligence.

I was very fortunate to have met Dr. Fain. She noticed I had issues with my teeth , and invited me for an exam and a consult. so glad I did , as she has provided me with a great new smile ! Thank you Dr. Fain , and the entire team at lakeside family dental. The Best around in my opinion

My mother came from Ukraine to visit her family She has had a lot of dental issues that were neglected in Ukraine We reached out to Dr. Fain and get an appointment at the end of the day on Friday She is very kind and beautiful human being not to say even more about her skills as the dentist My mother left happy I wish all dentist be like her My gratitude to her office manager and the staff Thank you very much!

I have been to many dentist through my life and Dr. Fain Is most definitely the best dentist I have been to. She is pleasant, caring, comforting but most important very dedicated to giving you the best smile you could ask for. On top of all of this her hygienist and employees are also very personable and make you feel important and comfortable. Many of my family members go to her and they are very pleased.
