Dr. Karmur was born and raised in Southern California. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Irvine, before pursuing her podiatric medical education at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois.
Her expertise extends from completing a reconstructive foot and ankle surgery residency at DVA Greater Los Angles Healthcare System/UCLA-Olive View Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. During residency, she honed her skills in reconstruction of the foot and ankle, complex diabetic limb salvage, sports medicine, and trauma. Dr. Karmur remains at the forefront of her field, staying updated on both surgical and non-surgical treatment options.
Dr. Karmur is an associate member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Karmur values the importance of building strong patient relationships. She actively involves patients in their treatment plans, recognizing the positive impact that working as a team has on patient outcomes. Driven by a passion for patient education, she imparts knowledge about current injuries, surgical and non-surgical treatment options, and preventative measures for future injuries.

I have always had the best experiences with George Bernt-FNP-C. HE IS VERY RESPECTFUL, LISTENS TO ME INTENTLY WHEN I HAVE SOMETHING TO TELL HIM. HE EXPLAINS THOROUGHLY EVERYTHING HE NEEDS TO TELL ME REGARDING MY MEDICAL SITUATIONS and if things are not as good as I expect or want them to be, HE discusses those situations which gives me understanding. I COULD NOT BE MORE PLEASED WITH ANY DOCTOR OTHER THAN GEORGE!! I feel very blessed to have Him as my FNP-C AS TO ME HiS INTELLIGENCE IS AWESOME!!
