Arthur Walczyk, MD, FACG, is a board-certified gastroenterologist with the gastroenterology team at Northern Medical Group Gastroenterology Division, formerly known as The Digestive Disease Center of the Hudson Valley. He is dedicated to the treatment and prevention of diseases and disorders of the digestive tract to patients in Fishkill, Poughkeepsie, and Highland, New York.
Dr. Walczyk is a known expert in performing colonoscopy, upper GI endoscopy (EGD), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and the removal of bile duct stones, and hemorrhoidal banding. He also specializes in treating biliary disease, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, and hepatitis C.
He earned his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Walczyk then completed his residency training at LaGuardia Hospital (also known as North Shore University Hospital) in Forest Hills, New York. To further his training, Dr. Walczyk also pursued additional fellowships in gastroenterology at The Jamaica Hospital, an affiliate of Cornell University, in New York, and West Virginia University Hospital’s Robert Byrd Health Sciences Center in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Dr. Walczyk is highly regarded in the treatment of conditions, such as acid reflux disease (GERD), diverticulosis, lactose intolerance, Celiac disease, peptic ulcer disease, diarrhea, constipation, and colon cancer. He has admitting privileges at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, New York, and Hudson Valley Endoscopy Center in Fishkill, New York.
Dr. Walczyk is affiliated with the American Gastroenterology Association and Dutchess County Medical Society, and is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology.

The office staff was absolutely wonderful, i had scheduled an appointment online. When I showed up to the office, the appointment was actually for the opposite location that I went to the lovely girl at the front desk said that she would try to fit me in with one of the other providers. As she went in the back and came back to the front desk and said that she was able to actually do that which was so amazing because I was in so much pain so I had a wonderful experience. The medical assistant was also knowledgeable and caring. The doctor came in that his part, and I was just overall grateful that they were able to see me and provide me with some relief.

I've been going here for many years and have always been satisfied, the nurse was also very pleasant. I've been very pleased with Dr. Walczyk since my other doctors have been gone now for some time.
