Went to Dr. Astorino seeking 2nd opinion because I was not comfortable w/ rather vague diagnosis received from another eye doctor. Was extremely impressed with Dr. Astorino and his entire staff. Their thoroughness, knowledge, profShow moreessionalism and efficiency were wonderful. Far cry from my first experience with the other doctor. Arthur Astorino, Jr., MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has been practicing since 1988. He provides exceptional eye care to his patients at Astorino & Associates Eye Center in Newport Beach, California, in areas like general ophthalmology, advanced cataract care, and refractive surgery.
Dr. Astorino earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and completed his ophthalmology residency at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He’s currently an associate clinical professor of ophthalmology at UCLA. Dr. Astorino is also a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and a fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
In his practice, Dr. Astorino believes in treating his patients as collaborators in their care. He always takes the time to educate them on their conditions and treatment options while bringing warmth, compassion, and professionalism to his services.

This is a well run practice with highly skilled, friendly professionals. They care for your vision and educate you in the process. With previous eye care I thought all had already been done. There was so much more to ease my discomfort and improve my vision. With Dr Astorino and his team my eye comfort and vision has improved dramatically. I’m thrilled.

Dr Astorino’s office was clean and sanitized with the chairs in the waiting room 6ft apart. I was very happy there wasn’t a long wait. The doctors and staff are very caring and friendly. Outstanding. I had done extensive research about my cataract surgery before deciding on Dr. Astorino. His pre op exam was the most thorough. The follow up terrific and success beyond expectation. I wore Coke bottle lenses growing up and their equivalent in contact lenses later on. Today, 2 years after surgery, my uncorrected vision is 20/15 in both eyes

My appointments are always on time, I am always greeted at reception with a smile, the assistants are courteous and very professional. What can I say about Dr. Astorino and Dr. Ho that I haven’t said before, the latest modern equipments, Dr. Astorino has dealt with my Glaucoma, Cataracts on both eyes and he is on top of his profession and goes the extra mile and I feel feel very well looked after by him to the point of if I were 50 miles radius from his office, I will be still seeing him and that should tell you something. My full gratitude to Dr. Astorino.

I chose Dr. Arthur Astorino to perform my cataract procedure as he was highly recommended by my physician and he is well known in his profession to have the best outcomes. Dr. Astorino professional expertise and confidence were immediately apparent upon my first consultation. He answered all my questions and made valuable suggestions from pre-op to post-op. He successfully removed my cataract and corrected my near-sighted with an implant. Clearly, I highly recommend Dr. Astorino and his wonderful staff.

I have been a patient at the Astorino Eye Center for many years. The doctors and staff have always been wonderful!
I have known Dr. Astorino since 2008.I had my glaucoma & cataracts on both eyes performed by him to perfection. He and his assistants always go the extra mile for their patients. The minute one’s enter his reception room you are welcomed with a smile and feel at ease.The assistants are very amiable and knowledgeable when running the pre-tests before seeing Dr,Astorino. I cannot say enough about the Doctor, in few words he is a perfectionist and the most caring person I ever met about his patients and if I may add he is a true gentleman besides his vast medical knowledge and patience of explaining the problem at hand if any. No costs surprises at the end either. They make sure that you visit routinely for a check up to prevent negligence of forgetfulness to take care of your vision and prevent any unforeseen problem to become serious. Who am I to rate Dr. Astorino & Associates with Stars ? Let’s just say if I were to live 50+ miles afar he will still be my Doctor.
