About Angela Vanterpool

Medical Assistant

Angela VanTerpool is our Medical Assistant and VNS Coordinator. A 2023 graduate with a B.S. in Biology from the University of Virginia, Angela is a compassionate and dedicated healthcare professional with extensive experience in both clinical and administrative settings.

Her diverse background includes medical assistant roles, where she has excelled in patient care, vital sign monitoring, medical documentation, and training new staff. She has also gained valuable insights as a pharmacy technician, managing medication distribution, insurance communications, and patient support.

Beyond her clinical expertise, Angela has made a meaningful impact as a Crisis Text Line Counselor, offering emotional support, conducting risk assessments, and connecting individuals in crisis with vital resources. Her deep commitment to helping others is evident in every role she takes on.

Angela is excited to begin medical school this fall, driven by a passion for serving underrepresented and underserved populations. She is committed to improving access to quality healthcare for all. Outside of her professional endeavors, Angela enjoys powerlifting, nature walks, and reading—balancing her career aspirations with a focus on physical fitness and personal growth.
