Using the extensive knowledge gained over a career of more than 20 years, Dr. Brathwaite cares for women in all stages of life, and specializes in adolescent gynecology, high-risk obstetrics, and menopause care. Dr. Brathwaite also excels in minimally invasive robotic surgery for hysterectomy, fibroid removal, and other women’s health needs.
Dr. Brathwaite earned her Bachelor of Science in chemistry at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and went on to the Loma Linda University School of Medicine in California to earn her medical degree. She then went on to serve as Executive Chief Resident at Martin Luther King Jr.-Drew University Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Brathwaite also worked at Southwest Medical Associates for 23 years, where she served as Chief of Obstetrics and Associate Medical Director for 17 years.

I was very anxious about my uterus biopsy, but Dr Irvey walked me through it and made me at ease.
My initial arrival was frustrating because instead of contacting me before the appointment to get my insurance verification corrected, I was subjected to embarrassment about my eligibility at the desk. While it was corrected, it left me feeling perturbed. However, once called back, Yuri, Dr. Irvey and Ms. Roxy were very professional, kind and candid. I will love my choice moving forward.
The doctor was lovely but it was a LONG wait in the exam room, dressed only on paper!

It was everything I hoped for! I searched to find a gynecologist in such a short period of time. I haven't seen a Dr in years and I'm happy to find this one. Dr Teishesha will be seeing me from now on, because I really enjoyed my first visit with her. Great environment and great staffs!
