About Dr. Angel Rivas, DC

Angel Rivas, DC of BBC Health in Lewisville, Texas, was introduced to chiropractic care at an
early age due to a sports injury.  Chiropractic care helped alleviate his severe pain and migraines of over
three years from a concussion suffered while playing football.  Dr. Rivas knew early on that he wanted to
one day help others who were suffering in pain through the power of chiropractic care. 


A native of California, Dr. Rivas studied Human Biology at Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles
before earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Southern California University of Health
Sciences in Whittier, California.  Dr. Rivas was honored to be one of two selected interns that worked
alongside USA Olympics doctors in the Southern California University sports medicine department
treating various high school athletes, the USA Women’s water polo team, FIFA soccer players, and the
CSULB Rugby team. 


Dr. Rivas may not have been born in Texas, but he got here as soon as he could. Dr. Rivas relocated to
the DFW area in 2016 from Arizona with his wife and two young children.  Dr. Rivas enjoys playing
games with his children, going on family bike rides, and serving at his local church with his wife in his
spare time.
