About Dr. Andrew Spellman, DO

Andrew Spellman, DO, is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management physician practicing at Metro Anesthesia & Pain Management located in West Des Moines and Des Moines, Iowa.

He graduated with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa in 2003. Dr. Spellman then completed transitional year internship at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines followed by residency training in anesthesiology at Saint Louis University Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. 

He currently serves as an adjunct professor for Des Moines University.  He is also the medical director at the Surgery Centers of Des Moines in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Dr. Spellman is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and is affiliated with Dallas County Hospital in Perry, Iowa. 

He is a member of the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, and the American Society of Anesthesiologists.

Working at Metro Anesthesia and Pain Management since 2007, Dr. Spellman provides efficient and thorough care to his patients.
