Amit Nathani, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Alta Orthopedics with fellowship training in both sports medicine and shoulder surgery. He doesn’t pressure me for surgery, explains things thoroughly and I feel confident about how we will proceed to get me back to good health. I highly recommend him.

I really like Dr. Nathani. He listened to my concerns, is practical and cares about how I’m feeling. I did have some issues with information given to people over the phone not getting relayed to the doctor or put in my chart which was frustrating, although they were nice when I talked to them on the phone. I had to talk to 3 people at 3 different times to get my information in my chart.

I am very happy that Alta Orthopedics has a presence in Santa Maria, the largest city in Santa Barbara County. Dr. Nathani was very knowledgeable on the subject of knee injections for osteoarthritis. This included cortisone, platelet rich plasma, hyaluronic acid, and stem cell shots. He was perfect in the actual administration of my hyaluronic acid injections. They were painless!!
