Alice Williams, MD is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist, Cataract Surgeon, and fellowship-trained Glaucoma Specialist. Dr. Williams earned her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine and completed both her residency in Ophthalmology and fellowship in Glaucoma at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital. Dr. Williams uses the most advanced technologies available to treat glaucoma, with a special interest in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. She is also an experienced cataract surgeon. Her areas of expertise include dropless cataract surgery and advanced technology intraocular lenses to help patients reduce their need for eyeglasses after surgery.
A dedicated educator, Dr. Williams is an Attending Surgeon at Wills Eye Hospital where she teaches young eye surgeons and medical students. She has published multiple peer-reviewed research articles in medical textbooks and journals and was an editor for the Glaucoma Section of the Wills Eye Manual. Dr. Williams is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, and serves on the Board of Governors for the New Jersey Academy of Ophthalmology.
