As a specialist in non-surgical spine care, regenerative musculoskeletal therapies, and interventional pain management, board-certified physician Aleya Salam, MD, brings a unique set of treatment modalities to the team at MidJersey Orthopaedics in Flemington and Bridgewater, New Jersey.
Dr. Salam earned her medical degree from King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan, and completed a residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now known as Rutgers New Jersey Medical School) in Newark, New Jersey, and the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. She received further training with fellowships in interventional spinal care at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and in stem cell therapies at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida.
Dr. Salam also completed postdoctoral research fellowships, culminating in pulmonary critical care at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts, and the role of infectious agents in autism at the University of California, Los Angeles in Los Angeles, California. She’s board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Salam stays abreast of developments in her field with memberships in several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the North American Spine Society, the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, and the International Spine Intervention Society (ISIS).
In her practice, Dr. Salam begins her care with a comprehensive intake session, listening to her patients’ concerns and expectations and investigating their full medical history. Taking a holistic approach to minimally invasive spinal care helps her achieve more efficient and effective results. I really trust Dr Salam. From start to finish it was seamless. Check in was super easy. Everyone was friendly. Check out was great too! Robin was very helpful.
Dr Pollack and staff from entry to exit were kind, respectful and professional. All my questions answered and I feel like a million bucks!! Wait time was okay. I don't ever expect immediacy at appointments these days.
