Dr. Murphy was professional yet easy to talk with before and after my knee replacement surgery. This mattered greatly to me. A prior consult with a very different doctor (not affiliated with Sports Medicine) ended poorly and left Show moreme concerned about having this surgery. Dr. Murphy’s experience and forthright, thoughtful and respectful responses to my questions assuaged my concerns. Although no post op of anything is easy, I believe his skills as a surgeon have made my recovery untroubled. I’ve already recommended him to several folks.
I was getting a second opinion on a knee injury. I was given an appointment quickly. When I arrived I did not have to wait long to see the PA. He did an exam, I had X-rays done then I saw Dr. Murphy. He got right to the point. No Show moresurgery. Just what I wanted to hear. My daughter in law, a nurse, was with me. She understood everything about the MRI and what the plan was. Even though it’s a long recovery I know I’m on the right track.

Professional, kind, knowledgeable, and got us in quickly.
The best at what he does! They worked with my needs and was very gracious about what I needed.
Excellent service. I did the online check-in, saves a lot of time! Less than 5 minute wait on spot day. Straight to X-rays, top o line staff & equipment. Doc was came in 5 minutes to review & advise. 2 cortisone shots & I'm dancing a jig
Very professional
Doctor is in a hurry. Hard to get questions answered to my satisfaction. I was told I am too old to repair my knee, which has been extremely painful. I cannot take ibuprofen for pain because of a blood disorder, tylenol does not work well enough. I have been very active in the past. This has affected me in many negative ways. I wasnt told why I am too old for the surgery.
Everyone is very friendly and my therapist is extremely knowledgable and helpful. I’ve had great success in my recovery working with him
The office got me in quickly to see Dr Muphy. I had been trying to see another ortho and it was taking weeks to see anyone Dr was quick and Om now booked for surgery
Really good and organized. Efficient!
Total knee replacement, total success.
I have the best Dr, PA and assistant team. Thank you for your compassion and professionalism toward me when I most needed.
Dr. Murphy was very thorough with his diagnosis and course of action for my injury.
Dr. Murphy is the best of his field and has the kindest manner. His assistant, Erica, is very professional and efficient. Everyone at the reception registration are caring and polite. Thank you, Sports Medicine of Oregon for treating me as a person not just a patient.
He's very straight forward and to the point. He did my knee replacement in 2018, I couldn't be happier. Now I need a shoulder replaced and I'm so glad he does those too!
Dr Murphy the best but would be nice if he remembered my name correctly.
Great at giving me all of the information I needed to make the best decision for my issue.
On my recent appointment with Dr. Murphy, he gave me hope and encouragement that I really needed. My knee replacement surgery was July 20th, and I had to have a manipulation on September 21st. My recovery has been slow and painful at times. Have been going to therapy for over 3 months now with at least 6 more weeks to go. I was very discouraged and Dr. Murphy gave me the boost that I needed. Thank You Dr. Murphy Bob Ogan
This is the second time I’ve seen Dr. Murphy. There was no concern for the pain in my knee. First time he was all over fixing it, not this time. He was fast taking, over talking and he did not listen to me. He order more X-rays for $$$ profit after I had already had X-rays & MRI. Gave me a shot in the knee & sent me on my way. Not going back. Very disappointed.
Dr Murphy is tops. Len his assistant is awesome as well.
Great Staff Great Doctors
Surgery went well
He is my second orthopedist after moving to Oregon. He doesn' talk much. He explains short, clear and simple. He wants to get things done in efficiently and quickly. He is good doctor.
