About Dr. Adam Franklin, MD

Board-certified in General Orthopedics and Hand Surgery, Dr. Franklin is excited and honored to join the physicians and staff at South Orange County Orthopaedics and Orthopaedic Specialty Institute. He looks forward to delivering compassionate, personalized care to our extended family of patients.


Dr. Franklin is a general, community orthopedic surgeon with a subspecialty in Hand Surgery. He values the trust placed in him to care for families of all generations—from toddlers to great-grandparents—in San Clemente and the surrounding communities. While Hand Surgery is his subspecialty, Dr. Franklin also has extensive experience in treating pediatric fractures and injuries, sports injuries and conditions, as well as adult injuries conditions including arthritis, back and neck pain.
Originally from Santa Barbara, Dr. Franklin attended the University of California, San Diego, and completed both his Medical School and Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of Southern California. He then pursued an additional year of specialized training in Hand Surgery at the prestigious Mary S. Stern Hand Surgery Fellowship Program in Cincinnati, Ohio. After finishing his training, Dr. Franklin began practicing in San Clemente with Seaview Orthopedics in 2010. In 2024, Seaview Orthopedics partnered with SOCO and OSI.


Outside of the office and operating room, Dr. Franklin enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. His hobbies include surfing, snowboarding, backpacking, dirt biking, mountain biking, and traveling.
