I have just started with Dr. Shemanski who was recommended by Doctor Silverman upon his retirement. I have found Dr. Schmanski very pleasant easy to talk to and very knowledgeable about my foot care. A nurse came in during my visiShow moret and did some foot care until the doctor came in. At this point, I can’t imagine going anywhere else.
I see Dr Shemenski on a regular basis for the past 2 years as I have a chronic foot problem since birth. My previous podiatrist left MA and I am so pleased she referred me to him I appreciate his thoroughness with my care. I hiShow moreghly recommend him.
Board certified in foot and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery, Aaron Shemenski, DPM, FACFAS, has successfully performed over 4,000 foot and ankle procedures. He is currently accepting new patients at Rhode Island Foot Care’s locations in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, and Taunton, Massachusetts.
During his three-year advanced podiatric medicine and surgery residency at Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Dr. Shemenski successfully performed over 2,000 foot and ankle procedures. He ultimately served as the chief surgical resident and continues to be active in resident education.
In addition to general foot and ankle surgery, he also performs advanced reconstructive and limb salvage surgery. Certified in ankle arthroscopy and external fixation techniques, Dr. Shemenski recently had the opportunity to train at the Russian Ilizarov Center for Restorative Trauma, an 800-bed orthopedic hospital located in southern Siberia.
Dr. Shemenski is licensed to perform podiatric medicine and surgery in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. He has lectured on foot and ankle pathologies both nationally and internationally. His interests include the management of all foot and ankle pathology, including heel pain, bunions, and hammertoes, sports medicine, as well as diabetic foot and limb salvage with the treatment of wounds and infections. He continues to be active in education, recently receiving certification in hyperbaric oxygen therapy and completing the Master’s Course for lapiplasty bunion correction.
Dr. Shemenski is an avid pilot and enjoys golfing, skiing, and spending time with his wife and daughter. He is a supporter of The Tomorrow Fund for pediatric cancer and is a member of the SAS Lacrosse Foundation.

Excellent Doctor. I had an ingrown toenail and he cut it as needed (painlessly) and my other nails. He's kind and caring. I will be going every few months for foot care. Getting older and realize how important this is. Highly recommend him!
