Dr. Azer earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, Texas. He then went on to complete his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Kent, Ohio. 

Dr. Azer returned to Texas to continue his training. He completed a three-year surgical residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery in Houston, working with some of the best podiatrists in Texas. 

During his residency, Dr. Azer focused on reconstructive surgery, forefoot surgery, trauma, and diabetic wound care. He also has a special interest in treating sports injuries involving the foot and ankle.
