Dr. Carlos Diaz is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and specializes in the nonsurgical treatment of various spine and musculoskeletal problems. He welcomes adults and children over 12 to his practice at Spine, Sport & Physical Medicine Center in Sarasota, Florida. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach to patient care, Dr. Diaz designs treatment plans that meet the needs of the individual.
Every patient can expect a careful review of their medical history and symptoms as well as a detailed medical exam that helps Dr. Diaz create treatment strategies aimed at resolving pain and restoring healthy mobility. His areas of interest include back, shoulder, hip, neck pain caused by a work or sports injury, trauma during an accident, or the simple wear and tear of life.

Dr. Diaz received his medical degree from Universidad Central del Caribe in Puerto Rico and completed his residency in San Antonio at the University of Texas Health and Science Center. During his training, he worked closely with physicians of multiple specialties, including orthopedic, neurology, and psychology, which gives him a broad scope of medical expertise that greatly benefits his patients.
He leads the team at Spine, Sport & Physical Medicine Center and has gathered a warm and welcoming staff that embraces his passion for treating his patients with respect and compassion, many of whom are fluent in both English and Spanish. Dr. Diaz is happy to provide his community with a fresh, patient-focused perspective regarding orthopedic care.
