Dr. Padda has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating disorders affecting the digestive system and liver, including colorectal cancer, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Barrett’s esophagus, esophageal cancer, hemorrhoids, diverticulitis, hepatitis, and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
Dr. Padda has exceptional diagnostic skills, complementing his considerable knowledge with cutting-edge procedures like endoscopic ultrasound, colonoscopy, and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. He can determine the cause of all gastrointestinal symptoms, including abdominal pain, rectal bleeding, acid reflux, dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation.

Dr. Padda earned a clinical research master’s degree and served his gastroenterology and hepatology residency at Charles R. Drew University in Los Angeles, California. He went to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas for his gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship training, then completed a fellowship in advanced endoscopy (endoscopic ultrasound and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) at Yale University’s Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut.
Dr. Padda has published numerous research papers in prestigious scientific journals, such as Mayo Clinic Proceedings, Gastroenterology, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American Journal of Gastroenterology. He’s contributed several gastroenterological teaching tools to the Digital Atlas of Video Education (DAVE Project) and presented at professional conferences for the American College of Gastroenterology and others.
