Diana Ghelber, MD, is a board-certified general psychiatrist serving adult patients at her private practice in Fort Worth & Granbury, Texas. At the Institute for Advanced Psychiatry, she specializes in treating patients with depression, especially treatment-resistant major depressive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), eating disorders, addiction, and insomnia.
At the Institute for Advanced Psychiatry, Dr. Ghelber offers an integrative approach to treatment, including transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), ketamine infusions, medication, psychotherapy, and brain music therapy. She’s also a certified provider of buprenorphine treatment for opioid addiction.
Dr. Ghelber earned her medical degree at the Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi, Romania, the oldest medical school in southeast Europe. She completed her residency in psychiatry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Dr. Ghelber is also trained and board-certified in adult psychiatry in Israel, where she spent 18 years working in various clinical and academic positions. During this time, she treated Holocaust survivors, victims of terror attacks, and patients with PTSD and eating disorders.
In order to offer her patients a diverse array of treatment options, Dr. Ghelber completed advanced training in TMS therapy at Duke University School of Medicine and Harvard Medical School. She uses the BrainsWay TMS system to help patients with treatment-resistant depression at the Institute for Advanced Psychiatry.
Dr. Ghelber is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and licensed to practice in the state of Texas. Her work has been published in medical journals and presented at international conferences.
