About Us

Jafar Afkham, DDS, is an experienced general dentist practicing at Davis Smile Center, located in Davis, California. He has over 28 years of experience, and in that time, he has developed a reputation for prioritizing patient needs and providing exceptional care. 

Dr. Afkham graduated from the University of Istanbul Dental School in 1986. After spending three years in private practice from 1989-1992, Dr. Afkham enrolled in the doctoral program in the university's prosthodontics department and graduated with a doctoral degree.  

Then, in 1992, he relocated to the United States, and from 1995-1996 he completed advanced clinical training at the University of Loma Linda Dental School. In 1997, Dr. Afkham attended the University of the Pacific for advanced training in cosmetic dentistry. 

At Davis Smile Center, Dr. Afkham and his team treat a variety of oral health concerns. In addition to providing routine exams and cleanings, they also offer various restorative solutions, including dental implants, crowns, bridges, veneers, and cosmetic dentistry. They also provide cosmetic services such as teeth whitening and orthodontic correction with Invisalign®.
