Dr. Daly grew up in the small town of Grenada, Mississippi, as the youngest of three boys. He followed the family tradition and attended Mississippi State University (MSU) to pursue a degree in microbiology. Dr. Daly was involved with multiple campus organizations and leadership positions resulting in his induction into the MSU Hall of Fame (1 of 10 chosen). After graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science, his natural interest in business and leadership led him to business school where he obtained his Master of Business Administration.
He volunteered many hours at a local hospital to find his true passion for people and surgery. Dr. Daly attended medical school at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City, where he served as president of his class and won many awards and scholarships for service and academic achievements. He completed training externships at top programs in the nation, including Highlands/Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver, Colorado, Emory Healthcare (formerly DeKalb Medical) in Atlanta, Georgia, John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, and Florida Hospital in Orlando.
Dr. Daly completed a three-year reconstructive foot and ankle residency training program at AdventHealth East Orlando (formerly Florida Hospital East Orlando). He served as chief resident and completed various training courses on advanced techniques for internal and external fixation, joint arthroscopy, limb salvage, diabetes wound care, and reconstructive surgery for the foot and ankle. Dr. Daly won the first place prize two out of three years in the statewide resident competition at the annual Florida Podiatric Medical Association convention.
After his residency training, Dr. Daly completed a trauma fellowship, where only 6-8 positions are available each year, under world-renowned Dr. Kaj Klaue in Lugano, Switzerland. He learned advanced techniques in trauma surgery for the lower extremities.
Dr. Daly is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and the Florida Podiatric Medical Association. He has performed over 6,500 surgical foot and ankle procedures and is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
He enjoys spending time with his wife, Nicole, playing the piano and guitar, weight training, water sports, snowboarding, watching Broadway shows, and attending his local church. Dr. Daly has four children: Hudson, Ella Joye, Beckham, and Isla Marie.

Dr. Richard Seda has been practicing podiatry in South Beach for two decades today. Dr. Seda’s practice primarily includes foot and ankle surgery, as well as sports medicine, however he treats all diseases and pathologies of the foot and ankle, specializing in bunion and hammertoe correction.
Dr. Seda graduated from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico in 1989. He went on to study at the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. After podiatry school, Dr. Seda moved to Miami where he performed a two-year foot and ankle surgical residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, graduating in 1995. Since then, he has been practicing and serving the Miami Beach community.
A Miami native, Dr. Gary Keller has always been interested in sports. While in college at Florida International University, Keller was injured playing intramural softball and met a podiatrist who treated him several times. He remembered the visit for a long time, and after working as a biomedical scientist, Keller decided to pursue his goal to become a podiatrist.
Yet, Keller still maintains a passion for sports medicine and for treating trauma injuries to the lower extremities, he says. He likes this type of podiatry because each case is a new challenge.
“To get the (athletes) back into professional shape – that’s not easy sometimes,” he says.
Sports injuries most commonly include Achilles tendonitis and ankle sprains and fractures, but Keller also treats all sorts of trauma injuries. In addition, he treats typical foot and ankle injuries that result from age, as well as performing laser treatments on varicose veins, spider veins and fungal nails.
As a child, Dr. Michelle Detweiler had a series of foot problems and was assisted by the help of a podiatrist in Philadelphia. These visits to the podiatrist sparked her interest in the field and led her to eventually apply to podiatry school. She has now been practicing as a podiatrist in the Miami Beach area for 20 years.
“Podiatry appeals to me because you are often able to make patients feel better on their first visit,” Dr. Detweiler says.
Dr. Detweiler graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia and then headed south to Miami to attend Barry University’s School of Podiatric Medicine. Once she graduated, Dr. Detweiler did a podiatric surgical residency in Allentown, Pennsylvania and then returned to Miami to start practicing. She now works with Dr. Jerald Carmel in the Mount Sinai Medical Building.

Brett Fried, DPM, is a board-certified podiatric surgeon at South Florida Foot & Ankle Centers in Royal Palm Beach and Belle Glade, Florida.
Dr. Fried and his twin brother were born and raised by their father in Staten Island, New York. Watching his grandfather deal with diabetes on a daily basis, he quickly learned to appreciate the field of medicine and eventually attended medical school at the prestigious New York College of Podiatric Medicine in Manhattan. After medical school, Dr. Fried started his residency in New York City, where his time was spent at four major hospitals: NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan in Manhattan, NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in the Bronx, NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem in Manhattan, and The Podiatric Surgical Clinic in Manhattan.
One of his proudest accomplishments during that time was his contribution to helping those affected during the tragedy of 9/11. Hundreds upon thousands of New York City firefighters, police officers, members of the armed forces, EMS workers, and civilians wounded at Ground Zero came to the medical station in St. Paul’s Cathedral to be treated. Dr. Fried, along with other podiatric and medical specialists, put forth countless hours treating the wounded in the symbolic pew where George Washington attended weekly services.
After two years of surgical training in New York, Dr. Fried moved to Smyrna, Georgia. There, he furthered his surgical skills by completing a reconstructive foot and ankle residency program, which was associated with several hospitals and surgical centers in Georgia. During his time there, he took a trip back to New York City to marry his wife, Jessica, who has been with him since college and throughout his medical journey. They have two sons named Jacob and Tyler and a daughter named Maddie.
They then headed further south to Florida, where his professional podiatric career began with South Florida Foot & Ankle Centers. Dr. Fried is currently on staff at several of the surrounding hospitals, including JFK Medical Center, Palms West Hospital, Wellington Regional Medical Center, and Lakeside Medical Center.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Fried is fully licensed in the state of Florida.
Dr. Steven Schein is originally from New York. He is Board Certified in Foot Surgery and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He completed his residency training in Podiatric Medicine & Surgery in New York City and received additional post graduate training in Public Health from Columbia University School of Public Health. He is a certified Pinpoint Footlaser Provider.
One of Dr. Schein's interests is the prevention and treatment of diabetic foot complications. He has surgical privileges at Broward Health Coral Springs and is on staff at the Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine in Coral Springs, Florida. He's also a frequent speaker for Broward Health and is a consultant to many health facilities in South Florida
