Originally from Heber, Dr. McPhie completed his undergraduate studies at Utah State University in Logan, Utah, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery in Iowa. He completed his residency training at DVA – Maryland Healthcare System and Staten Island University Hospital. 

Dr. McPhie pursued additional training in pediatric orthopedics as well as trauma and reconstruction and sports medicine at Sinai Hospital Rubin Institute of Advanced Orthopedics and International Center for Limb Lengthening and Walter Reed National Military Hospital, respectively. Raddison Veater, DPM, is a board-qualified podiatrist treating patients in the West Jordan, ST Mark's, and Park City offices of Advanced Foot & Ankle Center.

Dr. Veater graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health with an emphasis in Industrial Hygiene. He continued his education, earning his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the California School of Podiatric Medicine in Oakland. During medical school, he served as the President of the American Podiatric Medical Students Association.

After graduating from medical school, Dr. Veater completed his rigorous surgical residency training at Kaiser Permanente North Bay Consortium, where he received high-level training in podiatric medicine and surgery, including complex foot and ankle reconstruction, foot and ankle trauma, sports medicine, bunions, heel pain, wound care, limb salvage, and total ankle replacements.

John Mytych, DPM, FACFAS, is a board-certified podiatrist serving patients at St. Mark's and South Ogden, Utah, office of Advanced Foot & Ankle Center.

Dr. Mytych is a Polish American born and raised in the Chicagoland area. He earned degrees in biology and theology, a high school teaching certificate, and played NCAA Division I soccer while attending Quincy University in Illinois. Following a six-year career teaching chemistry and coaching soccer, he went on to pursue a career in podiatric medicine. 

Dr. Mytych earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, and completed his surgical residency at Riverside Mercy Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. In the two decades since, Dr. Mytych returned to Illinois to practice podiatry, initially in a group practice, then operating his own successful private practice and working in a hospital-based wound treatment center.  

He has been a career-long member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and an unflinching advocate of putting the patient first.

Dr. Mytych and his wife have traveled to many places but often find themselves returning to the mountains. Their first trip to Utah was in 2000, and they returned to Utah 30 times before making Ogden their home in 2020. Skiing and hiking are some of their favorite activities, but even a daily walk with the dogs with Ben Lomond and Mt. Ogden in view makes the mundane special.

Christian Smith, DPM, is a skilled podiatrist practicing at the offices of Dan Preece, DPM & Darren Groberg, DPM, a branch of Utah Musculoskeletal Specialists, serving patients in and around Salt Lake City, Utah. 

Dr. Smith received a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science from Brigham Young University. He then went on to Midwestern University in Phoenix, Arizona, where he completed his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine. He was accepted into the Intermountain Medical Center Residency program, where he completed a three-year residency in forefoot and reconstructive rearfoot surgery, serving as Chief Resident in his final year. He performed his residency through the Intermountain Medical Center (IMC) Foot and Ankle Podiatric Surgery Program in Salt Lake City. 

Dr. Preece is board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Groberg completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. For medical school, he attended Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. After graduating with a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, he completed a rigorous surgical residency through the Intermountain Medical Center (IMC) Podiatry Residency Program. He currently serves as a volunteer faculty member for the Utah-based IMC program.

Dr. Groberg is board-certified in forefoot and rearfoot reconstructive surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He's also a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and Utah Podiatric Medical Association. An experienced researcher, Dr. Groberg has participated in several studies analyzing tissue grafts and wound care.

Dr. Mohammed Farhan, DPM is a dedicated podiatrist with the practice's convenient office location in

Downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. He is the new podiatric surgery fellow at Salt Lake Regional Medical

Center, practicing with the skilled Advanced Foot & Ankle Center physicians.

Originally from the Chicagoland area, Dr. Farhan graduated from Benedictine University with a Bachelors

of Business Administration in Finance with a minor in Biology; he also graduated as a university scholar.

During his time at Benedictine University, he competed on NCAA Track and Field as well as Cross

Country and served as the university’s student body secretary. Thereafter, he earned his medical degree

in Podiatric Medicine from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin

University of Medicine and Sciences in May 2020. During his time at Scholl, he was awarded the highest

service award for community service, worked at the Office of Diversity and Inclusion as a Graduate

Assistant and served as the class leader in orthopedics and biomechanics. Dr. Farhan went on to

complete his Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with a credential in Reconstructive

Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY. He was trained by a large

cohort of podiatric and orthopedic surgeons and worked closely with various medical specialties to

provide comprehensive care for patients. He served as the Chief Resident during his final year of

training. He trained at a Level II trauma center where he was exposed to trauma, reconstructive surgery,

wound care, pediatrics, sports medicine, outpatient care, dermatology, diabetic foot care, limb salvage,

and podiatric oncology.

Dr. Farhan’s fellowship training will include reconstructive limb salvage surgeries, inpatient and

outpatient patient care, and emergency room call for any podiatric foot and ankle needs, from diabetic

foot infections to acute trauma of the foot and ankle.

Aside from his career, Dr. Farhan loves the outdoors and has done numerous hikes in various parts of

the US and internationally. He also loves to cook and won 3rd place in a salsa making competition in his

time at Scholl. Hailing from Chicago, he is a huge supporter of the Cubs, Bears, Bulls, and Blackhawks.
