Welcome to our practice in Zephyrhills, FL! I am Dr. Abuamaish, a board-eligible podiatrist dedicated to providing comprehensive care for a wide range of foot and ankle conditions. Growing up in the vibrant Tampa Bay area, I developed a strong connection to this community, which ultimately inspired me to pursue a career in podiatry. I completed my undergraduate and master’s degrees at the University of South Florida, where I built a solid foundation in the sciences and developed a passion for healthcare. My medical education continued at Temple University, where I earned my Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree. This rigorous training equipped me with the expertise to address a diverse array of foot and ankle issues.
My specialty encompasses the full spectrum of ankle and foot problems, including but not limited to: Diabetic Foot Care: Management of diabetic foot ulcers and neuropathy to prevent complications. Sports Injuries: Treatment of common sports-related injuries, such as sprains, strains, and tendonitis. Fractures and Trauma: Expert care for foot and ankle fractures and other traumatic injuries. Foot and Ankle Deformities: Correction of congenital or acquired deformities, including bunions and hammertoes. Preventative Care: Strategies to prevent common foot and ankle issues through education and lifestyle modifications. In addition to my extensive clinical expertise, I have significant surgical experience. I perform various surgical procedures on the foot and ankle but emphasize non-surgical treatments as the first line of management. I am committed to exhausting all non-surgical options to ensure the most conservative approach before considering surgical interventions. My residency training was completed at the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital, where I had the honor of serving as chief resident. This experience provided me with advanced training in areas such as foot and ankle deformities, reconstruction, trauma, wound care, limb salvage, and sports medicine. My residency not only honed my surgical skills but also deepened my understanding of comprehensive patient care.
I am dedicated to providing personalized, compassionate care to each of my patients, and I am excited to bring my expertise to the Zephyrhills community. Whether you need routine foot care or complex surgical interventions, I am here to support your journey to optimal foot and ankle health.
