Dr. Amir Azer has been fascinated with the medical field and always felt that he was destined to help patients achieve their best health. Dr. Azer began his journey at the University of Texas at Arlington where he received a B.S. in Biology. He completed his medical and podiatric studies and obtained his podiatric medical (DPM) degree at Kent University College of Podiatric Medicine in Ohio. Dr. Azer completed a 3-year surgical residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery in Houston, Texas, and worked with some of the best podiatrists in Houston. During his residency, he focused on reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, forefoot surgery, trauma, and diabetic wound care. He also has a special interest in treating sports injuries involving the foot and ankle. He completed his residency in Podiatric medicine and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery at the James A Haley VA hospital where he served as Chief resident his 3rd year.

Dr. Michael Birau is board certified in Diabetic wound care by the American Board of Multiple specialities in Podiatric Medicine (ABMSP). He is also board qualified in Foot and Ankle surgery by the ABMSP. He is an active member of the American Society of Podiatric Surgery and American Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Birau was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and grew up in a rural part of North Carolina. He is married and has 3 boys and is active in his community. He enjoys spending time with his family, grilling, fishing, college sports, and exploring DFW.
