As a native of Georgia, Dr. Wanzu is happy to deliver exceptional podiatry care to her local community. She completed her undergraduate studies in international affairs at Florida State University before transferring to Virginia Commonwealth University, where she studied forensic biology. After graduation, she pursued her doctorate in podiatric medicine (DPM) on an academic merit scholarship at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Wanzu received her medical training at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and during her time there, she served as a chief resident. With extensive training in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, foot trauma, and diabetic limb salvage, Dr. Wanzu is highly experienced in treating the most serious cases of foot and ankle problems.
She also has advanced training in venous diseases, with experience in peripheral vascular sonography and VenaSeal® procedures.

Brittany C. Sumpter, DPM, is an experienced podiatrist serving patients at Modern Podiatry in Hampton, Georgia.
A native of Little Rock, Arkansas (home state of President Bill Clinton), Dr. Sumpter grew up as a "Military Brat" as her father served over 20 years in the United States Air Force. She graduated from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina, earning a bachelor's degree in biological sciences.
She furthered her education by attending Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Sumpter then completed her residency in Brooklyn, New York, at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, where she served as chief resident during her final year. She is currently board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.
In her free time, Dr. Sumpter enjoys traveling with her mother and younger brother, hiking, drawing, reading graphic novels, and exploring art history museums. She is also a film enthusiast and passionate about volunteering in community outreach programs.
