As the owner and founder of Ohio Foot and Ankle Center, board-certified podiatrist Aaron Chokan, DPM, FACFAS, FACCWS, welcomes new and existing patients to the practice. With three state-of-the-art offices in Canton, Uniontown, and Stow, Ohio, patients have access to centrally located clinics.
After completing his undergraduate degree at the College of Wooster in Ohio, Dr. Chokan was accepted into podiatry school. He went on to earn his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine (now part of Kent State University) in Independence. Dr. Chokan then finished a two-year postsurgical residency, serving as chief resident, through University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio.
Because of his passion for research-driven patient care and modern treatment solutions, Dr. Chokan opted to go through additional training. Dr. Chokan completed total ankle replacement certification with the Stryker STAR™ and Wright Medical Group INBONE™ systems, among other advanced foot and ankle surgical treatments.
He’s currently board certified through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery®. He has performed numerous foot and ankle surgical procedures. Dr. Chokan is also a fellow of two prestigious podiatric organizations: the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American College of Clinical Wound Specialists.
As a natural educator, Dr. Chokan serves on the teaching faculty at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center Podiatric Surgical Residency program in Cleveland, Ohio. He also gives his office time to train residents of the Family Practice Residency program through Akron City Hospital in Ohio.
Even though Dr. Chokan can diagnose and treat all ailments that affect the feet, ankles, and lower legs, he has special interests in pediatric flatfoot, nerve release for neuropathy, rearfoot and ankle pathology, and diabetic wound care, to name a few.
Dr. Chokan and his wife are blessed to have five children: twin boys and three girls. He spends time coaching their baseball and basketball teams. Dr. Chokan was a former nationally ranked tennis player for the College of Wooster and continues to stay active with his children. In addition to tennis, he enjoys golfing, running, and playing foursquare with his kids.

Dominick Mastracco, DPM, FACFAS, is a board-certified podiatrist and foot and ankle surgeon at Mastracco Foot & Ankle in North Canton, Ohio.
Dr. Mastracco was raised in Jackson Township, Ohio. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Walsh University. After graduating, he moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he completed his master’s degree in biomedical sciences at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He was active in medical research for aging bone cells and presented his findings at the national Experimental Biology conference in 2013.
Upon completing his graduate studies, he returned to Ohio and attended Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine for his medical degree. He received residency training in podiatric surgery at Mercy Health – Lorain Hospital.
His training consisted of a one-year internship at Cleveland Clinic, followed by two years of extensive surgical training at MetroHealth Hospital and Cleveland Clinic Akron General (Level 1 Trauma Centers) for foot and ankle trauma and reconstruction, diabetic limb salvage, and wound care. While in residency, Dr. Mastracco co-authored several journal articles published by Northern Ohio Foot and Ankle Journal. He was also named chief resident during his final year.
Dr. Mastracco is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the Ohio Foot & Ankle Medical Association. He is affiliated with the wound care centers at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital and Aultman Hospital in Canton.
Residing in Canton with his wife Jennifer, he is proud to call it their home and be a part of the larger community. The Mastracco family has three children, Amelia, Dominick Jr., and Francis.
