Dr. Pokala is a board certified surgeon who was born in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and grew up in Southlake, TX. After high school, she went on to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin (hook ‘em!). Michael V. Tran, DPM, is a board-certified podiatrist and wound care specialist in Arlington and Dallas, Texas. The team spent seven days going from river village to river village, establishing daily clinics to care for the needs of the Brazillian natives.  “I grew a new respect for those who live off the land, and I truly admire the people of the Amazon Basin.”

Dr. Asif Khan was raised in the metro Detroit area, and earned his bachelor degree from the University of Michigan, Dearborn. He then went on to earn his doctorate in podiatric medicine and surgery from California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, CA. Dr. Khan retuned to Michigan to complete his residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Beaumont Health, where he served as Chief Resident his final year of training. He then went on to complete fellowship, also at Beaumont Health, in Diabetic Limb Salvage and Wound Care. Dr. Khan is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM). Dr. Christian Morrison was raised in northern Idaho, and earned his bachelor of sciences degree with an emphasis in microbiology from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Dr. Morrison served as chief resident in the Department of Surgery's devision of Podiatric Surgery at Baylor Scott & White in Temple, TX, and has been published in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
