Dr. Burkardt is a Michigan native originally from Monroe, Michigan. He received his Bachelor of Science from Siena Heights University in 1999. He graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 2003 with honors. Dr. Burkardt then went on to complete an extensive three-year surgical residency at Southeast Michigan Surgical Hospital, formerly Kern Hospital. Dr. Burkardt joined Gentle Foot and Ankle Care in 2006. He is currently on staff at Huron Valley Sinai-DMC and Beaumont Royal Oak. He is board certified in both Foot Surgery and Rearfoot Reconstructive and Ankle by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
