I was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico and after high school I left my beautiful island and attended Oberlin College in Ohio on an academic scholarship. After graduation I spent 4 years working at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine for the Department of Hematology and Oncology performing cancer and bone marrow transplant research. Later on I went back to school and attended Barry University where I obtained my graduate degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. I did my residency at the Tampa VA Hospital and afterwards joined the Bay Pines VA were I had a very busy and successful surgical practice for 9 years. In June of 2012 I left the VA system and opened the American Foot & Ankle Clinic of Tampa Bay where I have been in practice ever since.
