Andrew Clark, DPT, is a physical therapist at Coastal Ortho with offices in El Segundo and Torrance, California. At the practice, he works with patients to relieve their pain and improve their mobility.
Originally from the greater Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area, Andrew graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, earning his doctoral degree in physical therapy.
His interest in physical therapy comes from his own experiences as a patient due to sports-related injuries to his shoulders and low back. These experiences helped drive Andrew to become a therapist to help others get back to activities they enjoy, just as his therapists did for him.
Andrew believes in creating therapy goals with his patients to make sure they are working together as a team to get them better.
He enjoys continuing his education, exercising, swimming, bouldering, and exploring what the South Bay offers for outdoor activities in his free time.

She enjoyed working as a personal trainer and physical therapy aide prior to returning to California State University for their Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2019.
During her time at Long Beach, Emily’s clinical focus was in orthopedics and hand therapy. She has been a licensed physical therapist since May 2022 and is excited to grow with the Coastal Ortho family.
As a previous caretaker, Emily is passionate about and skilled in working with the older adult population and believes in genuine care and functional movement as medicine at all stages of life.

Dr. Shiao-Lan Li, DPT, is a doctor of physical therapy at Minimally Invasive Medical Group, which has offices in Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, and Irvine, California. He performs regular physical therapy, outpatient evaluation, and treatment for orthopedic patients with all body parts. He also coordinates the patient treatment plans with chiropractics, pain management physicians, orthopedic doctors and primary physicians.
As a physical therapist, Dr. Li does not see separate issues relating to only one body part without relation to the rest of the body. Although a specific portion of the body may be the most obviously injured or restricted in its motion, other aspects of the body’s functioning are also immediately impacted, causing the formation of a specific compensatory pattern. The compensating pattern can result in limited recovery in the original area as well as possible future injury in the supporting area. Physical therapy achieves the highest success when treatment is focused on the restoration of the strength/muscle tone balance between the muscle groups, the coordination of the movement, and the elimination of compensatory patterns.
Dr. Li usually uses all possible tools, such as manual therapy, scraping, Yoga, traditional martial arts, etc., according to the patient’s individual situation to maximize the benefits of the therapy.
Daniel Kamimura, DPT, is a highly-skilled phisical therapist working with patients at Coastal Ortho with offices in El Segundo and Torrance, California.
In 2000, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in exercise science from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. In 2002, he recieved his Master of Science in physical therapy from Washington University in St. Louis. He then started practicing in St. Louis shortly thereafter.
In 2005, Daniel earned his postprofessional Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Washington University.
Daniel has practiced in varied settings from inpatient rehabilitation to acute care, but his passion and the vast majority of his 17 years of experience has been in outpatient orthopedics. He has also worked in several different states, including Oklahoma, Hawaii, and Alaska.
Daniel enjoys solving pain and functional problems using a background in muscle balance, posture/alignment, and movement analysis. He passionately believes in patient advocacy and independence and that the ultimate goal of physical therapy is, at the bare minimum, to return patients to their previous functional level.
Daniel's goal is to safely push the bounds of what patients believe to be possible and achieve the unexpected.
