After graduating high school, Dr. Berlongieri enlisted in the United States Army as an airborne infantryman. He served 4.5 years with the 82nd Airborne Division with two combat deployments to Afghanistan. He left the U.S. Army as a combat airborne infantry squad leader with the rank of sergeant.

Dr. Luis Roa received his Masters of Physical Therapy from the Florida International University in 2005.
