Amanda is a physical therapist, certified pelvic health specialist and owner of Connect NW Physical Therapy & Wellness. She received her doctorate in physical therapy at the University of Montana in Missoula. Right out of school, she focused her practice in pelvic health and earned her board certification as a pelvic health clinical specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2016.
While she focuses on pelvic health, she also has training in manual therapy techniques and treats a variety of orthopedic concerns including dysfunction in the spine, pelvis, hip and extremities. Direct pelvic floor treatment is often required to resolve issues such as pelvic pain or incontinence, but frequently dysfunction in other areas of the body are driving the pelvic floor issue(s) and must be addressed.
Everyone has a pelvis and therefore pelvic health includes all ages, genders and orientations. We welcome everyone and anyone needing help with pelvic health!
“This was my second appointment with Amanda and like the first, she is very professional and respectful which has made me feel less anxious. Amanda is careful to explain things well and is not threatened by questions. I have learned a lot from her, about my anatomy and also about the importance of movement as a mode of healing.”
