Dr. Long graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelors in Health Science, Minor in Exercise Science, and Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. She has taken numerous continuing education courses which include training in dry needling, pelvic floor physical therapy, visceral manipulation and treatment of TMD. Since graduating Dr. Long has worked in outpatient neurorecovery treating spinal cord injury, Parkinson?s, MS, TBI, stroke, foot drop, and other neurological conditions. Dr. Long also has experience in outpatient orthopedics treating post-operative recovery, sports injury, balance and fall training, biomechanics education, low back pain and various other orthopedic conditions.
Dr. Kyle Heise, PT, DPT, CIDN is a doctor of physical therapy at Back To You Osteopractic Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation at our location in Canton, Michigan. Dr. Heise specializes in functional movement assessments, golf/sports therapy, dry needling, manual therapy, myofascial cupping, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, and LSVT-BIG for Parkinson’s disease.
Functional pain free movement is the focus, as Dr. Heise pulls from his knowledge and experience in the field of physical therapy and health care. He has experience with differential diagnosis for various client populations such as sports medicine, orthopedic, neurological, post-op surgical and balance disorders
Dr. Sarah Shamoon, PT, DPT, Cert. DN is a certified doctor of physical therapy with more than 13 years of experience. Dr. Shamoon specializes in blood flow restriction therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, and manual lymphatic drainage. She received her Bachelor of Science and Physical Therapy Doctorate from the Oakland University in Oakland County, Michigan. Today, she provides comprehensive care for all types of orthopedic conditions in the spine and upper and lower extremities. Dr. Shamoon also treats various vestibular and vertigo disorders. Post-operative care and balance and fall prevention are two areas that she focuses on when treating patients. She performs thorough physical therapy evaluations before recommending treatments, such as rehabilitative exercises, stretches, soft tissue mobilization, or massage therapy. Physical therapy allows her to combine her love of people and passion for healing and making a positive difference in the world.

Dr. Brian Vasicek, PT, DPT, OCS is a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy who is also certified in functional manual medicine. He specializes in integrated functional exercise, muscle energy technique, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, and high-velocity low-amplitude thrust (HVLAT) spinal manipulation. He obtained his dual bachelor’s degrees in biology and health sciences from the University of Michigan-Flint in Flint, Michigan in 1998. He later returned to earn his master’s degree in physical therapy in 2000 and his transitional doctorate through the same program in 2020. Since graduation, Dr. Vasicek has completed many certifications, including dry needling through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy. He is also certified in functional manual medicine through Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, Michigan.
