Emily Overturf, DPT, is a compassionate and experienced physical therapist at Coastal Ortho in El Segundo and Torrance, California. At the practice, she works with her patients to improve their movement and manage pain.
Emily grew up in Cypress, California, and earned her bachelor's degree in kinesiology in 2016 from California State University in Long Beach, California. She enjoyed working as a personal trainer and physical therapy aide prior to returning to California State University for their Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2019.
During her time at Long Beach, Emily’s clinical focus was in orthopedics and hand therapy. She has been a licensed physical therapist since May 2022 and is excited to grow with the Coastal Ortho family.
As a previous caretaker, Emily is passionate about and skilled in working with the older adult population and believes in genuine care and functional movement as medicine at all stages of life.
In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, playing beach volleyball, hiking, gardening, and taking her dog to the beach.
