Originally from the Jersey Shore, Dr. Manzi played NCAA Division I basketball at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). She earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2005. Her postgraduate training included a residency at the Baylor College of Medicine/UT PM&R Alliance, followed by a fellowship in Interventional Spine, Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and Pain Management at Michigan State University and Lansing Orthopedics. In her earlier career in Houston, Dr. Manzi contributed to the Pain Management Center of Houston and initiated the Outpatient Interventional Pain program at TIRR Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Currently, Dr. Manzi serves as off-site faculty at the UT Health Houston McGovern Medical School, where she shares her expertise and passion for education. She also holds roles within the Harris County Medical Society (HCMS), where she served as President of the Southwest Branch in 2020, and continues as an active participant in the Central Branch. Dr. Matthias Wiederholz is also the founder and visionary behind Performance Pain & Sports Medicine, also known as Performance. Performance is a boutique medical practice with a focus on the treatment of acute and chronic pain. Dr. Wiederholz founded Performance in 2008 and officially opened for patient care in 2009. Dr. Wiederholz serves his patients in Houston, Texas; and Lawrenceville, New Jersey.

Dr. Wiederholz received his specialty training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas where he served as chief resident. He completed fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management and Sports Medicine in Marietta, Georgia. He holds four board certifications: Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is his primary specialty. Jerome Carter, MD, is a board-certified physician specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Advanced Pain Management Specialists in the Baytown community of Texas. He has been practicing medicine throughout Texas since earning his medical degree nearly 18 years ago. In addition to working at the practice, Dr. Carter serves as an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Texas medical branch in Galveston, Texas.

Dr. Carter’s interest in medicine began shortly after he graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. In 1995, Dr. Carter volunteered in the emergency room at Hermann Hospital in Houston. That same year, after working as a chemist at Oxid Petrochemical Plant in Houston, Dr. Carter enrolled in medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine, where he ultimately earned his medical degree in 2001.

After he completed a surgical internship based out of Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital in Houston, Dr. Carter began the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Program at the combined University of Texas/Baylor University Program.
